ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
A Golden Hue came to life at Rattle Trap Audio in Austin, Texas with singer-songwriter Ellen O'Meara and multi-instrumentalist, producer Brian Douglas Phillips. The EP is a collection of dreamy, folksy tunes about some of life’s simplest truths. The velvet-voiced songstress writes with prominent undertones of idealism and nostalgia, reminiscent of a time when things were as they should be.

"I think most of us were braver as children…free to dream wildly, speak honestly, be misunderstood, feel emotions deeply, and take in the world with wide open ears and big, bright eyes. I strive to do all of those things in my grown-up life, but I have found that my pride, fear, and disbelief often get in the way. My hope is that we would hang on to that innocence and carry it with us, that we may experience life more fully. I do not see the world through rose-colored glasses. I know we live in a broken world with much heartache and mayhem, but I have a faith in goodness that I cannot shake".
