Album Notes
Longing, the mark of our common humanity. Longing, a yearning for that something that seems just out of our reach, that something good for the soul. We long for the simple and the magnificent, the carnal and the divine. We are ever scanning the horizon of our lives for that ship of dreams, longing for it to enter the harbor of our days. We long for love, adventure and unbridled joy. We yearn for those who once walked beside us on the shores of our youth. We hope for things as they once were or strain to leave behind what was, in search of a new life.

Across the whole panorama of our yearnings, from the sublime to the profane, to long is to search for meaning. It is what the human heart does best.

This new album is nothing more than my meager attempt to explore and express a bit of my walk along the shores of longing. Like every other friend on this little blue ball, i have been living with the unquenchable search for the meaning of it all. Though mostly an instrumental expression of some of the colors of longing, some things seem painted best by lyrics. So through a fumbling voice, i hope you hear an honest song. My hope is that in these new tunes you will recognize some of your own yearnings.

So, slow down, come join me for a while down by the shores of longing. There is genuine meaning out there on the horizon. Keep searching. Keep longing.
