Album Notes
I wrote these songs for my children around 1994 when they we’re both still very young. I had such a positive response playing these songs live that I decided to record them in a collection and give my homemade cassette tapes away to family and friends. The idea and inspiration to do a children’s album came to me after I took my youngest daughter to hear a very well know artist performing live. Although my daughter and the other children did seem to enjoy themselves, I could see and hear that something was missing. Shortly after that experience I made up my mind and set out to write a few children’s songs of my own. I knew that I wanted to write songs that didn’t talk down to children. I also wanted to write something parents would also enjoy listening to and could share the experience and joy of music with their own children. My favorite author growing up was Mark Twain. His stories we’re timeless and full of life. He wrote tall tales full of humor, adventure and most importantly they we’re fun! Hence the title Chickens, Beans & Children’s Dreams. It is my hope that you will share and enjoy these songs with your children.
