Album Notes
This album marks the tenth release by this Florida based progressive rock unit. It was formed in 1973 by Mark J. Dye. Fans of prog will love this CD. Mark J. Dye has been involved with music since the age of 10. He played guitar, violin, and keyboards in various groups that he formed from 1965-1984. He also has a bachelor's degree in music composition from the University Of South Florida. In 1978 he moved to Los Angeles with his progressive rock group, "Elysian Fields". After changing their name to "Impulse" they released five albums on the Electric Fantasy label. While living in Los Angeles he became a Midi and synthesis specialist for many top artists like Van Halen, Guiffria, Gino Vannelli, and even appeared on Entertainment Tonight as a technical adviser for electronic music. He now operates a state of the art digital recording facility in Saint Petersburg, Florida. Mark Doran, Suzanne Stokes, Joe First, Dr. Jean, Mar. Harman and many others have collaborated with Mark from 1986 though 2017. He is now retired but continues to pursue projects that he hasn't had time for over the last 40 years. This is the first of these to be released. There are many more to come. In the future look for M J D as the artist's name.

Best album of 2018
I discovered this album accidentally on spotify searching for another band with the same name. Best accident I've made in my life!
The lyrics are straight forward instead of vaguely using many words to describe nothing. It completely engrosses you in the world the artist creates with the music and lyrics. The contrasts from energizing riff's to heartfelt harmonies and piano pieces are brilliant without in any way feeling forced. The album has an honesty that is so hard to find in progressive rock nowadays.
This album is absolutely brilliant and is without a doubt the best music to be put out in 2018 and has quickly become one of my favorite albums of all time. If you buy only one album in 2018, let it be this.
