ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Emaney came to be when Natalie Buchi, a Yoga teacher and bodyworker in Salt Lake City, Utah was approached by one of her students and friends, Camden Chamberlain. Camden is the owner of Kitefishing Studios and is an amazing musician and producer.

After experiencing the benefits of a class that Natalie taught specifically for musicians at her Yoga studio (Mindful and Embodied), Camden proposed a trade for additional personalized Yoga sessions and bodywork for recording time in his studio.

Natalie wrote The Music”, along with contributions from Camden and other dear friends to compliment ancient Sanskrit chants. It was so much fun to make and is a true representation of Natalie’s passion for the chants themselves as well as the flair added by Camden’s unique style and assistance. The Music is perfect to listen to for inspiration, chant along with and is wonderful music for any Yoga or fitness class. It can also be enjoyed and inspiring to run or even dance to. It is also spectacular background music for any art studio, massage parlor, acupuncture clinic, boutique, coffee shop, fitness center, book store, and even tattoo and piercing studios!

While The Music features chants mostly recognized in the Kundalini Yoga tradition and works amazingly well with many of the Kriyas and meditations, it is also suitable for any other tradition.

It took two years to complete the album. Every single sound, instrument and beat of The Music was deliberately and carefully arranged and timed. The progression of each song and the album itself is very significant.

The project then expanded to include a second CD. Which is a Yoga practice that Natalie sequenced and recorded along to the original compilation. A visual poster of the poses she teaches is included in this album.

Natalie has studied Yoga for 12 years and teaches multiple styles of Yoga. For this project, Natalie chose to share a sequence she designed featuring moon salutations and hip openers. The Practice is very healing and with her unique style of teaching, she takes those who practice on a journey to better understand themselves.

The artwork also has significance. It is a direct representation of Natalie and Camden and how they blended together for this first project that will consistently change with other musicians over time. Several artists contributed to the art and each of these amazing people have a connection to Natalie in many ways and have captured her, supported her and been a part of her journey, as well as she on theirs’.

Natalie chose skeletons to represent the postures she teaches in The Practice. Many students have stated that one of their favorite things Natalie always says when they complain about something is: “Stop holding your skeleton that way!” She views the body as expanding from the deep to the superficial. If the skeleton isn’t supported by mindful and intended movement and has proper access to the patterns and functions needed by every system of the body, than many obstacles can arise – physically, mentally, emotionally and energetically.

It is Natalie’s intention to provide a representation of her passion for the journey of life through these vibrations and her teaching.
