ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This album truly brings in the Christmas spirit with all new arrangements of classic Christmas songs done specially for the album and our 2009 Christmas show. The band on this recording, Bobby Tomlinson (drums), Wayne Free(vocals), David Dixon(guitar), Stephen Pachuta(trumpet), Matt Kosma(sax), John Ray(bass), and Rick Sanders(keys), is the most talented and energetic incarnation of this classic band. The Embers have been performing all over the world for the past 51 years, always led by band founder Bobby Tomlinson. The current lineup is all featured individually on this recording, as well as bringing their road-honed skills as an ensemble to the table. Still performing 250+ shows a year all over the Southeast, this band truly has a unique and well-defined sound, as well as a chemistry that is impossible to achieve without constant performance. The Christmas show is a four-year tradition; the band has each year put together a show with their own versions of Christmas songs, and performed it at select venues in the region. This album features the best of the 2009 Christmas show, and you are sure to want to pick this up for the holiday season and beyond!
