ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This is Emma Lee Aboukasm's debut as a recording artist. Rise To It (planned a week in advance to its recording date) was recorded at the Sound Shop Studio in Macomb, Michigan and engineered by Josh Ford. It features well known Detroit-based musicians, Scott Gwinnell, Marion Hayden, Sean Dobbins and Tristan Cappel. Recording for this album took place over two days, without previous rehearsal. Some of the arrangements were created in the studio just minutes before recording. Two of Emmalee's original pieces are featured on this album, Deep As The Sea and The Game, in which Emma also plays piano on.
