Album Notes
In 2013 Emmy asked children ages 2 to 6 the following question: "what do YOU want to hear a song about"? The songs on this album are a result of their answers. The input and experience of children was valued during every step of this project - because this music is for them! When she's not singing/songwriting, Emmy studies Child Development at Mills Graduate School of Education and works as the Early Childhood Education Specialist at the Children's Creativity Museum, where her music class are routinely called "the best in San Francisco".

Emmy began her classical vocal training at age 8 and earned her BA while studying vocal performance at the prestigious Oberlin Conservatory. Some highlights of her musical career include: touring Europe as a member of Kinderchor Children’s Choir, gracing the stages of central Ohio as Belle in Beauty and the Beast, singing for a delegation of ambassadors in Ghana, working as a cafe singer in Notaresco, Italy, co-founding the Oberlin Acapelicans, and conducting the Canyon Crooners as a ranger at Grand Canyon National Park.

Emmy is deeply passionate about early childhood education and really into slide whistles, ukuleles, and roaring.
