Album Notes
Hey there! My name is Stephen, and I'm just your regular old dude from Dallas, Texas. I make music and imitate those who have inspired me, which are so many, we'll list them in their own section. I have been working hard on making and recording music since only May of this year, and have come a long way since even then! From "I Will Never Leave You" in April/May 2017, to True Love and Fall & Return In October/November 2017, I've seen my vocal style evolve, along with my technique, and so many other advancements. I Will Never Leave You / At the Time of Your Death is simply caught in the middle of the hustle and bustle of finding my sound, getting better at music, both in musicianship and writing, and experimenting with different vocal tones!

The truth is, I have more than one vocal tone, and more than one music style I truly love. I love each one for exactly what it is-- but the different sounds and perceptions based on something as seemingly backdoor and afterthought as "Vocal Tone" fascinate me. And so, rather than pick one tone for all my music, and confine myself needlessly, my goal is to create the perfect blend of them all.

A sort of Metalcore "Screaming/Singing" vibe... but with different vocal tones often (but not always) serving as the contrast, rather than growl/rough style screaming.

All my songs are written by me as a Christian, but they often deal with emotions and feelings or scenarios that may or may not be/have an imperfect view or sad/dark scenario. As such, each song can be taken as a sort of "character", or point of relation/perspective where the singer may or may not always be correct in their feelings or assertions. This said, almost all of my songs are real (from the heart) and not written just to tell a story, and most of my songs end or otherwise have grounding in truth, in hope to provide a true answer to those seeking for one. This is a way of relating to people and "Meeting them where they're at". A way of showing you care, and are not going to be another "Just get over it" guy. A way of emotionally relating to people in love.

I'm always improving, always seeking God, and have a dream of being a worship minister someday!

P.S. Be on the lookout for my next release (early mixes/releases sure to come via Soundcloud [link below] before CD Baby) in the style of "Chunk! No Captain Chunk!" :D

Band bio: Here at Emotional Relation, we think a lot of people just need a little love and "ER". Too many people have already "grown" past something, and then drag everyone down who hasn't. Let's love and relate to everybody, then work on growth... growth to a equally healthy place of maturing, and of love and relation to everyone, even if we're "totally over this or that scenario", or whatever it might be. Don't just tell someone to "get over it". Relate. Love. Work through it. Everybody's a little better off when they had somebody who was there for them.

Band motto: If people emotionally relate to you, then they might come to you for an answer. And if people are coming to you for an answer, have a good one.
