COMUNIDAD is Mexican bass player and recording artist Enrique Toussaint’s first solo effort. It is a DOUBLE CD. A collection of 25, very eclectic songs that cover an array of styles and feature the talents of many members of Enrique’s musical community (Eugenio Toussaint, Luis Conte, Fernando Toussaint, Michael Baker, Mike "Zulu Blanc" Hurley, Billy McLaughlin, Peter Schimke, Kirk and Kathleen Johnson, Mark Rio, Marc Anderson, Dirk Freymuth, Camerata de las Americas, Liz Kuivinen, Graham Lear, Todd Carlon, Michael Labrador, David Iwataki, Kurt Rasmussen,
Rob Genadek, Stokley Williams, Shai Hayo, Suzanne Holtz, Daniel Willy, Dan Falcone, Jon Crosse, David Eiland, Gerardo Gomez, Ester Godinez, Joe Barati and Erick Toussaint). It is a journey through his musical career.
Enrique, along with brothers Eugenio and Fernando, is a member of Mexico’s premier jazz quartet Sacbe with which they have recorded 8 albums including the talents of Clare Fischer, Alejandro Campos, Jon Crosse, Luis Conte, Milcho Leviev, Paul McCandless and Armando Montiel.
His 30 plus year career has taken him all over the world, playing concerts in all continents, at well renowned venues like Royal Albert Hall, Sala Netzahualcoyotl, Alt Oper etc., appearing on David Letterman, The Today Show, Fox and Friends,The View, Good Morning America, Rosie O’Donell, Larry King, MS Telethon, La Tocada, etc.
Enrique has participated with Ivan Lins, Michel Colombier, Paul McCandless, Paul Anka, Herb Alpert, Alejandro Lerner, Ze Carlos, Cecilia Toussaint, David Foster, Michael Baker, Dirk Freymuth, Graham Lear, Placido Domingo, Miguel Mehl, Patti Austin, James Ingram, Billy McLaughlin, etc.
His bass can be heard on several jingles, some of which include Pace Picante sauce, Sherwin Williams, eTrade (for the superbowl), etc.
Enrique lives in Minneapolis/St.Paul where he performs and records with local artists. His discography includes 90+ albums to date.

Fantastic Venture
The CD is a great venture into music with a nice latin flavour to it. Both CD's have accompanied me in my car for a week now and nearly every song is just as as fun to listen to as the previous!
