LMNO Music - Green

by Enzo Garcia

The second of eight LMNO Music CDs. More new arrangements and adaptations of traditional American folk songs and more of Enzo Garcia's charming original songs. A highlight is special guest Ralph Carney who has recorded extensively with Tom Waits.

Album Notes
From the wonderful kid's music blog Zooglobble.com:
"Garcia's fondness for using instruments you don't typically hear (on albums of any kind) means getting to hear familiar songs in unfamiliar ways... On Green, Garcia continues to help families hear old tunes in new ways (and maybe even start to make them their own).Recommended."

From Parenting Magazine - March 2007:
"Focusing on simple songs, rhythms, rhyme, and chanting that encourages movement, modulation, and early music skills, Enzo is a joy. On both rare traditional songs he's unearthed and new folk-based tunes, he plays cool instruments like the jaw harp and musical saw."

It's all my kids will listen to
I have a 3 year old son and a 8 year old daughter who listen to both LMNO Music CD's constantly. They sing along and dance to them as well. It's a joy to watch them have so much fun and even my wife and I join in as well.

Wonderfully danceable!
This is the first CD of Enzo Garcia's that I've purchased and I'm hooked! The songs are infectious and very memorable...even after only one listen. My son is 21 months and loves it. I highly recommend this CD.

Great children's music!
I read about this CD in Parenting magazine and thought I would give it try. It is hard to find good children's CD's but this is the best! My daughter and I both really enjoy the music.

Good Stuff
My toddler, my wife, and I have 3 of Enzo's cd's, we like them all. Throughout the day, one of us will start singing a tune, and then we'll all chime in. His toddler music classes are great too!

The whole family loves it
We love this CD - great songs to sing along and learn from, and very fun. Good for families of toddlers who listen to songs over and over...

A kid's CD that the kids ask for and is very parent friendly.
My 4 year olds started dancing and singing along the first time they heard the CD. Not only do the kids enjoy the music, I catch my wife singing along with the CD all the time. It's not often you find an artist who can entertain kids and engage parents. Enzo pulls it off with original and traditional songs. What a relief it is to have an alternative for those other less parent friendly kid's music options like "The Wiggles."

I like it as much as my kid!
This CD is absolutely wonderful. I find myself singing it in the shower, driving, just about all the time. And it's a kid's CD! Let me just say that I can't tolerate most children's music (ie Barney). There's a reason I drive an hour each way to Enzo's class to hear these songs. Er, I mean, to let my son hear these songs.
This CD is part of a growing trend of children's music that was intended not to make the parents gag. I'll call it "Alt Children's Music". There's something for everybody. By the end of the CD, you'll even have granny stomping along.
The song "My Paddle's Keen and Bright" will just melt the snow off any old curmudgeon. And "What Would you do with a Druken Sailor" is Enzo at his best. It still makes me giggle everytime I hear it.
Try it, you won't be disappointed.
