Album Notes
After my wife succumbed to brain cancer in early 2005, our only child was also diagnosed later that year with Autism. He was 2 years old. 6 years later I was able to finally put to words and music my enlightenment of raising a child who has Autism. It was a song that I could not finish for many years, the emotional challenge was too overwhelming; closure seemed impossible.

Regardless though, the gnawing need to write and sing about Autism was relentless. It has been difficult for me to face the feelings I have honestly from being a parent of a child with Autism. “Who will help?”, I ask for a boy that cannot speak for himself. His “voice” speaks to me through his eyes, and I sing for him and all others sharing the many trials and so very precious joys we have experienced with people that have Autism.

He Has Autism is the first single release for the Songs About Autism music project I started in 2011. Songs About Autism is a music advocacy web hub. It's intention is to help heal and manage the emotions from the sometimes very difficult physical disability and social functioning problems associated with Autistic people. Music is not only a therapeutic benefit for individuals on the Autism Spectrum, but it is also beneficial to their families, advocates and care givers. Music can also be a wonderful career choice for people with Autism wanting to work and be creative later in their adult professional life.

Please keep faith and advocate.
