Album Notes
I am so thankful for my family, friends and fans for their expectations and encouragements on this album… After three years of production, it has seemed like a short “lifetime” that I have been working on this adventure!

I really want this to be a blast for everyone to hear. I really aimed to stretch myself and my sound across a larger latitudinal line… I feel the influences and ideas of several gifted musicians make this record shine!

As always, I revel and celebrate the beauty of the ocean’s grandeur and majesty! Drive along the coast… Let the waves of sound saunter in across the beach and sand… Feel the mist… Wade with bare feet into the peace and beauty of it all… Waves of Grace...

Here are some of the talented people who were involved...
Singer, guitarist, songwriter David Eugene Ivey; Smooth jazz pianist/recording artist Cecil Ramirez;
Engineer/producer bassist/programming Ralph Stover, who has done projects for Word Records, Point of Grace and Maranatha Records; Brent Bourgeois of Bourgeois/Tagg who in recent years has worked with such artists as Michael W. Smith, Jars of Clay and Jaci Velasquez; Contemporary recording artist and highly acclaimed smooth jazz guitarist Steve Laury; Guitarist Mike Roe, the frontman for the critically acclaimed band the 77s

A special thanks to Jennifer who I am privileged to share my lifes journey side by side with. She is an amazing graceful, beautiful woman. She is the best! David Eugene Ivey, making this record with you was a blast. It would not have been possible without yourimagination, creativity, talent and friendship. Ralph Stover your skills make all these songs
shine. Cecil Ramirez your awesome talent and heart pour out into every song. Steve Laury, Brent Bourgeois, Lance Taber, Michael Roe, Eddie Ramirez what a pleasure to make musicwith such creative and brilliant people. Three years in the making and well worth the wait! WAVES OF GRACE is a tour de force of new age /jazz/pop and classical influences interpreted by Eric Evans and his wonderful collection of gifted musicians. Eric leads the project with a variety of woodwind performances on flute, alto flute, EWI and alto sax and is joined by singer/guitarist David Eugene Ivey, smooth jazz recording artist Cecil Ramirez on Keys, award winning producer/engineer Ralph Stover, with beautiful supporting guest performances by Brent Bourgeois of Bourgeois/Tagg, smooth jazz recording artist guitarist Steve Laury and guitarist frontman for the critically acclaimed 77s Michael Roe. An album brim full of uplifting, inspirational themes… the key cuts include “Seaside” with its lovely warm groove, “February Clouds “ which could be a classic new age anthem and the elegantly spiritual title track “Waves of Grace.” A fantastic new release – worth your immediate attention!
