If you can imagine the result of a songwriting collaboration between Elvis Costello, Richard Thompson, Hank Williams, and Frank Zappa, then you're getting close.
A strange combination? Probably. But, that pretty much describes it.
And, his CD - Signs - is proof that soaring melodies, odd-meter fills, thought-provoking lyrics, and an inherent pop sensibility can co-exist in a radio-friendly format.
