ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
AmPhetamine Crown Records Presents:

Eric Lichter:
Troubadour from New York City, to Los Angeles, to Boulder to... Seeker of all things instrumentally vintage mojo.

The california mists rose in the morning and standing on the coastline was this musician. A ghostlike presence carried him through the American landscape where ravens flew overhead eventually guiding him to the clubs, alleyways, and coffeehouses of the downtown New York City scene.
Where he was discovered singing a soulful Prince-like rendition of a Southern California Beach Boys tune.

This CD is representative of a swell of activity.

Fantastic!
I recieved this cd from Ian Charles after their performance in South Norwalk, in addition to ian's. They both played this wonderful coffeehouse in South Norwalk CT. Eric's performance was adorable, and his music was amazing.. I burned this cd for alot of my friends, and i really love "drag:, "gray" and "home"...This boy has a future that's for sure..

Nice Ass
I saw Eric at a little place in the city called Flannery's Pub not long ago and it was at some loose open mic. Anyway, he was really, really good, and he shook his ass alot, which i think a few of us girls(and a few guys,it was west 14th street!)noticed. He Brought a handful of cd's with him, one which i bought..Now, normally i'm more into Nine Inch Nails and Orgy, but this is really a great record to listen to on a Sunday morning. I've grown to love it. Eric, will i see you again soon?

SUPERB! Buy it.
The CD is a work of art. The sound, composition, lyrics etc. is wonderful. Blows me away that Eric not only wrote all these fantastic songs, but played every instrument.

I saw Eric last spring at CBGB's and he was amazing. We exchanged numbers then i never heard from him again(jerk!)He told me then that he was working on an album,so i searched his name and found his site. I just purchased the record, and from what i've heard and seen i'm going to give him 4 stars. He was sandwiched between bands and he stuck out not only because it was him alone (with guitar and old wierd electric piano) but because he was so charming and his voice was so delicate. He really radiated and that's why i remember him,and can only hope he goes onto to great things, even though he never called me!

...the best piece of ass i've ever had
this album is the quintessential "make love in the back of a hot sweaty van while you're truckin' it X-C style". i heard it accidentally while riding with a friend of mine (an ex-girlfriend of eric lichter). its fun and thoughtful and anybody who is a fan of good classic lasting music should OWN THIS ALBUM. "is it so wrong to feel the way i do?" (in love with my friends ex i've never met!)

My friends and i went to the Habitat For Humanity Concert this past Sunday where Eric was performing..I had heard of him and how great he was but i wasn't really prepared for what i saw and heard. About an hour into the show they introduce him and he bounds out onto the stage, and he was so cute! He reminded of a Beck/Prince hybrid or something with his little three piece suit and vans..He proceeded to completely take the room over and you could hear his breathe as he sang five of the most beautiful songs i've ever heard. After the show my friends and i all bought "Chorduroy". Then we stalked him and he was soooo funny dodging us! We finally cornered him and he signed every cd and poster thrust before him..He was so funny and again, adorable..There were about 30 people crowded around him andit was like he was putting on a little skit or something! Anyway, i am completely blown away by Eric Lichter and i think he's going to be someone soon....

Cosmic American Music ( abridged version of review)
Chorduroy is a beautifully crafted work. The collection is well thought out and features Lichter playing every instrument and also vocals. Several songs have hit potential including; "Drag", "California", "Run", "Static". Hugely influenced by Neil Young, Lichter's vocal style, as well as writing, can best be compared to Young. It is a rare find to find a debut of such high quality, and thoughtfulness form an artist, and I believe Lichter is poised for a sensational music career.

21st century music with old-school flavor -- GREAT CD!
A great CD from beginning to end! Eric Lichter is truly a 21st century musician (writes, performs, records, mixes), but with old-school (like what makes the classics great) sensibilities. This guy is for real, this music will sweeten your life.
