ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Running From Rita" is the first studio single to be released for Eric Logan. After performing as the successful duo, "AKA" with Matt LaSeur for a decade, Logan is now performing as an acoustic solo act. "AKA" released a live album entitled "Bootleg One" in 2005 featuring some great covers and original music from their interactive, live shows. Although never getting to complete a studio album, "AKA" still gets to perform for their longtime fanbase at "reunion events" every so often.

In 2006, the duo was privileged to perform for large assemblies of South Texas evacuees as Hurricane Rita pumelled the coast. "It was very gratifying to provide some entertaining distraction for so many that were forced to flee their homes to the Texas hill country." - Eric Logan

Providing music, distraction, and commemorative T-Shirts "AKA" provided some smiles to many in a troubled time. "Running From Rita" was penned by Logan after this memorable weekend. A crowd favorite since then, enjoy this energetic, pure-Texas song as the Hurricane's anniversary approaches or any time!
