Album Notes
“…a great artist who has not succumbed to the dictates of artifice pop…masterfully recorded and mixed…proof that human hearts, souls, and expressive artistry will move as much air as gargantuan samples, but are much more spiritually moving...a splendid EP.”
- Jon Carroll, Grammy Award winner

"With a voice like his he can do no wrong." - Strutterzine, Belgium

"Whip smart...hard to resist...clearly the work of an artist ready to stand on his own." - Mike Joyce, Washington Post

Eric Scott’s newest masterpiece
The charm city sessions is beautiful,. The production value an every track is top notch, the musicianship is flawless and yet somehow still entirely human and full of heart . This is an incredible work of music. From start to finish, every song on here is brilliant. It takes you back to when people would actually listen to an album. Each individual song is great, if it came on the radio between songs from other artists, you would be happy it came on . But as a totality, the charm city sessions takes you on a journey. Put it on, crack that bottle of wine, and just enjoy . This is feel good music for the soul. Scott’s voice is so full and pleasant. The melodies are rich, deeply emotional, and, for lack of a better word, human . Very human. In the best sense of the word . And the underlying music is perfectly orchestrated.- especially on my… Well, I can’t say it’s my favorite track because they are all so good, but ...what is right now given my mood my favorite track “she drives me crazy.“. i It’s rare when a cover song is better than the original, but Scott‘s version of “she drives me crazy“ takes the fine young cannibals ‘ song and adds the dynamics, sugar, and spice it needed to become a masterpiece. The Track is fun, different, quirky, and , something that would usually go on noticed, but the backing vocals underneath are just so beautiful – I can’t put my finger on it, you just have to listen to it but when you do you will know what I’m talking about. That song, indeed the entire set of songs, its like diving into a warm ocean of music on a perfectly sunny day . Absolutely wonderful.

Eric does it again
Highly recommend this EP! Each song is fantastic and my personal favorites are the first track and the last, but every track is great. Any fan of Eric's music will be thrilled with his latest release of of highly anticipated new music and if you are new to Eric's music, I promise, there is plenty here to enjoy!

Eric Scott's Groovin is Movin
Eric Scott's originals have a magical way about them -- they are heartfelt and funky, and they get me moving to the grooving. His songs often carry a positive message, even the occasional dark songs. His music and lyrics move me inside and out. With Charm City Sessions, his sixth album, Eric proves that, like a fine wine, he just keeps getting better. And, oh, that voice! CCS has a 70s feel that is uplifting and playful. I'd love to share which song on the EP is my favorite, but I can't. Love. them. All. Take a listen and see if you have a fave!
