ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
HYPERBOREA: in Greek mythology, a continent populated by giants where the sun never sets and where “Never the Muse is absent”.

The ten pieces of VOLUME 1 were first entirely written out on paper, then performed and recorded by six musicians in Toronto. The final sessions were mixed and enhanced with analogue synths and slightly dysfunctional drum machines, lending an electronic quality to the work.

HYPERBOREA VOLUME 1 was made possible by a generous grant from the Ontario Arts Council.

CREDITS:

Natalie Wong: violin and viola
Anh Phung: flute
