ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Something you don't see everyday while shopping for new music... a new genre: Put together Vangelis, Narada, Toto, Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Mahler, Chopin and Scriabin with a tiny bit of Pink Floyd... becoming "Hand Crafted Sound". This particular collection is a musical exhibition composed during twenty years of mental disability. Erik Peter Hansen relates the feelings behind Bipolar Disorder with his music. Poetic and adventurous modern, classical, new age and electronic solos and ensembles comprise these 32 tracks on two CDs. They are autobiographical musical memoirs that also can fit together with an e-book found on his web site, bringing the reader/listener a greater understanding of mental health, creativity and recovery. One aspect of the e-book is to show how the composer/author coped with a serious disability and musicianship. The full music and publication is filled with therapy, hope and entertainment while also exploring some music theory and history. These sounds metaphorically are also meant for making better communication between the mentally ill and their loved ones.
