Album Notes
I am a Singer/Songwriter, some may know me as “Sunshine,” “Georgia,” “GP,” “Peaches,”, or my real name Erica, but anyone who knows me, knows I wholeheartedly love music. I am focused on my career to share my music around the world, and allow others to see a glimpse into my life, or those who have inspired me, and through my songs, I hope that people are not only able to relate, but also able to see that we all go through similar situations, it’s just how we deal with them that separates us. My goal is to travel around the world, singing, playing music, and bringing joy to everyone I meet. I have been tremendously blessed with my family and my amazing friends, and want to give as much as I can to show my gratefulness. As a musician, I have aspired to challenge myself with a variety of genres including classic rock, country, r&b, blues, alternative, gospel and folk. Some of my influences include Fleetwood Mac, Tori Amos, Lucinda Williams, Sheryl Crow, Susan Tedeshi, Bonnie Raitt, Sade, Dido, Rob Thomas, Aretha Franklin, Madonna, Natalie Merchant, Lily Wilson, Sarah McLachlan, Toni Braxton, Trisha Yearwood, The Dixie Chicks, Maroon 5, Bruce Springsteen, The Eagles, India Arie, and many more. Singing has always been an outlet for me, and I began at the age of 5 singing in the southern Baptist church I grew up in. My gospel and country roots have helped diversify my capabilities, and enhanced my appreciation for all music styles. Originally from a small town in Northeast Georgia, I moved across the country to the Bay Area at the age of 18 to change scenery, and I have never looked back. After several years of performing at different restaurants, bars, private parties, and clubs, I have had the opportunity to play with so many incredibly talented musicians including Lee Patterson, Scot Larsen, Donnie Bilinski, Matt Diggs, J Russo, Jesse Hiller, Wayne Carter, Rich Fisanich, Byron Adams, and last but not least, Henry Kapono. The opportunities are endless and as a songwriter, I look forward to making an impact in this place in my short time here.

My philosophy in life is to pack as much excitement, fun, and passion into each day that I can. Whether it’s sightseeing with Australian tourists, driving Irish tourists down Lombard Street at 2am, or staying at the firehouse Station 1 until 6 am eating cheesecake, I am pretty much up for anything that involves a good time. We are only here for such a short amount of time, so I want to smile as many smiles as my face will allow. I love music, and all that it represents, and I appreciate all different genres. I respect those who have made it, those who haven’t, and those who are still trying. To capture a memory in a song, or to illustrate a moment is the finest work of art, and I aspire to bring that to all who hear my music. Enjoying the little things in life is what it’s all about, and I enjoy the nature and beauty around me. Those who have gotten me to where I am today are my closest friends and family, who I love dearly, and I am so proud of my southern upbringing blended with my west coast present culture. I find myself wondering when I’m looking out on the Golden Gate Bridge at the San Francisco Bay: how much more serene can it get? That’s why otis redding hit the nail on the head in “sittin’ on the dock of the bay” which sums up my last decade’s journey... (Classic Rock Cover band)
