Album Notes
Esoteric Ramblers is a new band with a hops-centric world view. The band’s first CD, Keg of Love, will quench your thirst for music to partake a pint by. The band is made up of six Virginia musicians who got together to play some music and sip a few beers.

The 13-fluid-track CD features tongue-in-beer-and-in-cheek songwriting, all natural ingredients and is good for what “ales” you.

There’s a bevy of beer songs on this disc. “Six Ways (To Forget You)” describes a coping strategy for a relationship gone bad. Either of the two versions of “Keg of Love” might be the perfect first-dance-at your-wedding song for beer drinkers. “Obama Self” is a beer-rific chorale to the Commander-in-Chief. “Last Call Boogie” deals with that end-of-the-night trauma that one must endure at closing time.

There are other subjects tackled as well. “No Condom Blues” is a song about the worst kind of blues you’ll ever get. “Nuke The Whales” (written by Esoteric Ramblers songwriter, Chris Jones, and Country Joe McDonald), along with the preceding “Whale Sushi”, are musings on marine mammals. “4:20 Boogie” is about our favorite time of day. And the disc wraps up with “4400”, a harmonica-powered war awareness song.

Traditional instruments featured in nontraditional ways make every sip of this CD intoxicating.
