Album Notes
E. Shawn Qaissaunee's Painting Pictures is a collection of musical portraits featuring Shawn on guitar, Chico Huff on bass, Tom Palmer on drums, Jeff Knoettner on keyboards and Eric Powell on alto saxophone.

With the exception of a funky "Q" arrangement of My Romance, all the songs were written by Shawn.

The music is warm and inviting, lyrical and engaging.

The quintet paints its musical images with a myriad of colors and textures.

There truly is something for everyone in this collection.

E. Shawn Qaissaunee, guitarist/composer, is a Berklee College of Music Alumnus.

He has become a sought after performer and teacher in the Mid-Atlantic region, though his musical journeys have taken him all across the USA and Europe.

Tell A Story, Shawn's debut CD, was released February 2000 to critical and popular acclaim.

Painting Pictures is his newest release and promises further success.

Joel Johnson-friendly

Very soothing
Shawn continues to show why he is one of the most sought after musicians in this region. This is an excellent follow-up to his first CD,and shows a lot of diversity. Once again Shawn has put together the perfect blend of musicians to paint the picture he envisioned. A must buy, you'll enjoy the smooth grooves!

An Aptly Titled Collection
Shawn has provided an entire gallery with his newest CD. This is some of the most tasteful guitar playing I've heard in a long time - this guy really knows his way around the fretboard. Shawn's come up with another great collection of compositions played by a superb group of musicians.
