A truly eclectic experience
Esselfortium's debut album, by its own description, might be perceived by some as just another aimless journey through the tired stereotypes of electronica. But make no mistake, Essel knows how to go above and beyond the "been there, done that" and transform once-familiar musical territory into a fresh, masterful work of art. From the nostalgic allure of The Airport's vocal samples, through the Boards-esque synth work of Kaianide all the way to Interface's mellow breaks and beyond, A Terrible Flood pulls it all together and tops it off with the kind of great melodic sense which seems to be getting harder and harder to come by in today's electronic music. Well worth the price.

A wealth of expert transitions and dynamic melodies guide you through, demanding repeat listening. Emotion and a sense of meaning abound; every moment reflects passion and dedication. Personal highlights include Startan3, Illuminauticus, Interface, mobildethvan, and Skybox. I can't recommend this album enough; buy it and play it. You'll love it.

Bip boop noises for the masses.
Fantastic, absolutely fantastic. It is not often that you find good music these days, A Terrible Flood is one of those exceptions. It has emotion, flow, ups, downs, soft bits, hard bits, and all sorts of other bits. And it all comes together smoothly and seamlessly into an album that is definetly just a little more than bip boop noises for the masses.
