ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
A note that repeats itself. Naked. Piano or pianissimo, and it repeats itself stubbornly.
In between, silences, questions.

This is how I often found myself while interpreting René Eespere's music: What should one do when the expression has arrived to such a point of synthesis? I remember a story.
Arvo Part says that once, while he was waiting for the trolley bus in front of his house in Tallinn, he asked the porter how a composer should write his music.
"He should love each sound, each note," was the man's reply, and a key that opened the door to a new world for him.

How can one love each sound, each note?
By pronouncing it with beauty.

Suddenly, one solo note that repeats itself, piano or pianissimo, says a lot. It says what is necessary, what is essential, which is everything.

I cant stop listening to this CD
I never write reviews on websites, but I was so touched by this music that I decided to make an exception.
Most of this CD are pieces by Arvo Part and Rene Eespere,so for all the people who like this composers I´m sure you will have a different experience listening to Esteban Colucci´s CD.
Really not to be missed.
