ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes

AT THE END, WE MAKE MUSIC –LIKE IT, OR NOT-

Improvise, organize, improvise again, build. Something cyclic, like cyclic music; a combination of words that I’d believe I’d dreamed, although it is more probable that I’d hear it or read it before or somebody told me. Because music is cyclic as the sound itself (or at least that’s what it’s written on fisic’s books).

Etermortifera is a proyect that feed itself from the inspiration of the sound as a dynamic phenomenon. That said, It can be inspiring the sound of a tubing being banged, a guitar cord or a sine wave. The pieces get developed from the search of the sound and the textures y not from cold preconceived intervals in a music sheet (Although this methods are used by us as tools for composing)

So, we accept all the sounds and all the musical styles that we can hear, and we try to assimilate all this stimulus to enrich our music (an our soul). Mixing improvisation with ballads and scored arrangements.

Etermortifera get born as a one man proyect driven by Composer and Sound Technician Gabriel Millan and helped by different collaborators, with the idea of mixing musical programming and sound synthesis methods with the execution of acoustic and electric musical instruments and non musical objects – like percussion, vocals, guitars, etc.-; firstly influenced by avant-garde jazz, punk, industrial music, and contemporary composers like John Cage.

Right now, Etermortifera functions as a duo, with Multiinstrumentalist Martin del Litto, and percussionists Tomas Garcia y Pablo Magariños as main collaborators.
