Album Notes
Eternal Dream is more than a music album. It is an experience of collaboration, of the coming together of unique individuals with a common purpose, the purpose of creating something beautiful and by doing so, making the world more beautiful. Spanning the centuries, this music album contains the artistry of composers from Europe and America dating from the Baroque age to today, reaching into the future as new means of artistic expression are employed to communicate eternal realities such as love, life, nature, and the spiritual. The musicians, sound engineer, and graphic artist featured are colleges and friends of mine whose talent and artistry I deeply respect. They each bring something very special to the album.

There are three parts to this album: 1) Original Compositions
2) Live Classical Compositions 3) Spiritual Music. As can be seen in the album art created by Deanna Rae, three is a theme that runs through the album. It refers to The Holy Trinity of God in Three Persons, the source of all life and goodness. This music draws directly from the spiritual experience of God Who speaks to us through all creation.

This album is the result of over 25 years of performing music on the violin. It contains music that has deeply influenced my life as well as the original creations that have resulted from my contemplation. Many of the composers featured here have touched the lives of so many people around the world and are still appreciated today, composers such as J. S. Bach, W. A. Mozart, and Schubert. Others may have been well known earlier in history and are worthy of being rediscovered today, composers such at Biber and Järnefelt.

My original purpose in creating this compilation was to find a forum with which to share my original compositions, but the project immediately became more than that because through the process I discovered that a single artist cannot make even one note on his or her own. My complete and sincere gratitude goes out to all of the musicians, sound engineers, teachers, colleges, family and friends who made this dream become a reality. The purpose of Eternal Dream is now to serve as a representation of what can be accomplished when people work together, maintaining their uniqueness and identity while coming from a place of communication, respect, and creativity. In today’s world with so much strife and discord, we need to make more opportunities like this so as to live in peace, understanding, and joy. Your listening continues this journey. I hope you pass on the joy which I communicate to you through this music!
