ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Singer songwriter Eugene Gallagher performs stark, yet upbeat indie rock through a kaleidoscope of effects. Garnering comparisons from Elliott Smith to Kurt Cobain, the Stratford, CT based performer mixes electronically treated sounds of varied textures with unapologetically honest, and mellifluous heartache. As a husband, father, and hard-working average joe, Eugene’s creates relatable art that makes you feel good. While beating his acoustic guitar into a thunderous bass drum, and stomping on guitar effects pedals like someone trying to put out a fire, Eugene explores feeling and sound deliberately and unpredictably. Eugene draws inspiration from personal experiences of overcoming misfortune. After losing his home and business in the great recession of 2008, Eugene and his family endured incredible hardship. Determined to provide, Eugene trudged on. Acoustic guitar and harmonic in tow, the modern troubadour makes anthemic music of resistance against the calamity of eveyday life.
