ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Evening Optimist is a rock band that takes elements of the glory days of guitar driven music and brings it into the present. Inspired by legendary acts that include Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, The Black Crowes, Tool, and Blind Melon, Evening Optimist takes a little bit from each to create a dynamic song-driven sound. Today's rock bands have strayed from the guitar. We cannot and will not, as we believe without distorted guitars, it is not rock-n- roll! Our sound is diverse however, with a broad spectrum of heavier tunes, ballads, and everything in between. Even within the structure of one song you will hear guitar riffs that will punch you in the face, only later to hear an acoustic guitar, reminiscent of a folk track! Writing with that type of genre diversity is what we do. We believe rock music with that type of approach has staying power and will provide fans with a listening experience that will stand the test of time..
