Album Notes
Eve's Twist is a diverse rock and roll band from Columbus, Ohio. In the 2 years since its debut, this five-piece female-fronted band has developed a reputation for high-energy performances and a knack for twisting rock, pop and blues from the past five decades with its own collection of original music.

Eve's Twist features Renee Holm on lead vocals, Wendy Black on rhythm guitar, vocals and harmonica, Don Catlett on drums, Rob Longest on lead guitar, and Mike Mapes on bass. The lineup varies in both age and musical tastes, resulting in an infectious mix that has entertained crowds throughout Columbus.

In addition to playing in local clubs, the band has performed in a number of community festivals, opened up for Blood, Sweat and Tears and Erin Hamilton, and performed in charity events such as "Take Back the Night." Later this year, they will be making their weekend-long debut at Put-In Bay in northern Ohio, and at Oktoberfest in German Village.

Original Eve's Twist recordings can be heard on their debut CD, Busload of Strangers, released in November 2001. A self-funded effort, the CD was recorded at Workbook Studios in Columbus and features a collection of seven originals written by the band and former keyboard player, Wayne Self. Band influences ranging from acoustic rock to blues to folk appear throughout the seven selections.

Eve's Twist is not a cutting-edge originals band, nor is it the traditional Columbus cover band. Once described by Aaron Beck of The Columbus Dispatch as "pleasant singer-songwriter rock and roll that would fit between spins of 10,000 Maniacs, Cowboy Junkies and the Dave Matthews Band," the music of Eve's Twist successfully bridges the gap between what makes them happy and what speaks to the folks who come to see them.
