ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
With Timeless Love, Fabrizio Selli returns to compose a theme for the cello. The last time was several years ago, for Captain Ahab (2005), one of his most beloved compositions. The lyricism of the new melody finds in this marvelous bowed instrument the perfect "voice" to transmit the emotional communication of the theme in all its potentialities. In the original version, the talented Venezuelan cellist Carolina Teruel, is immersed in an arrangement in which Selli's piano accompanies with light chords, arpeggios, small melodies and counterpoints, creating a subtle and discursive substrate, an almost filmic world, together with the strings, the brass in the background, some hints of abstracts electronic tones and a rhythmic part reduced to pure essence. Fausto Intrieri, musician, producer, sound designer and sound engineer, in his remodel, sprinkled with glitch sonorities and drone-ambient textures, reconstructs the song, giving it a new form, adding a wonderful and exciting synth riff, parts of strings that insinuate themselves in depth and a light rhythmic base, but solid at the same time, giving us a soundtrack of our times, truly unique, a sort of impressionist sound-painting, which involves emotionally throughout its duration.
