Album Notes
There is a liberation in being able to write, play, perform and record music, the way you want it yourself. We felt it was important that for once try to follow a path, find a way to make a project become reality.
So therefore we, a Sweden/Stockholm based duo, Jenny and Tobbe Fall, decided to take our way of playing the blues a bit further. In our own recordingstudio, on our own label, for our own record-company, we made the album ”Bloodrain”.

“Bloodrain” is an album about growin’ in to being middle-aged in a rich country. It is about having religious and political thoughts, and having doubts about the future in an abused world. It is also about painting moods and soundscapes, fitting the vocals and the lyrics.

....all in all with the blues keeping it all together.

I am so impressed. Fall's music is so deep and close to blues roots but at the same time fresh and unique. Those modern touches suit their music very well. Some of the cuts on "Bloodrain" could easily become radio hits, no matter what is the format of radio station. Check this album out, heavy stuff.

Excellent Deep Take On The Blues From Sweden.
Outstanding fresh experimental deep take on the blues
from this amazing, gifted husband/wife duo from Sweden.
The Fall disc features excellent top-shelf, acoustic/electric guitar work + production skills along with powerful, soulful, sexy female vox, not to mention a batch of killer songs with depth, maturity and meaning that pay homage to their blues roots but with a unique, current twist that is all their own. Highly recommended disc.
I would have given this disc 10 stars but CDBABY only allows 5!!! Do yourself a favor and listen to the clips
and buy the Fall disc @ all costs!!!

Tell Your Friends About This
This CD is a fantastic collection of well written, produced and performed songs from a husband/wife duo from Sweden. The only thing separating this band from being a household name is a couple of radio hits. Songs like Blood Rain and Sleep with My Eyes Open could easily be singles. It is hard to categorize the CD as it draws from a number of styles like rock, blues, middle-eastern rhythms, but in the end is an original sound. I will be recommending this to all of my friends.

This is a surprising collection of powerful vocals and excellent guitar-work. It was amazing to find a blues and Southern-style effect coming from a Scandanavian duo. 'Dear Mr. President' is one of my favorites-- echos the feelings many of us have, and is nicely understated. I highly recommend it!!

Thumping great!
12 very carefully crafted tracks. The members of this extremely talented 2-band outfit perform guitar/keyboards and vocals respectively. Very strong confident electric guitar riffs supported by equally sweet and strong vocals (similar to Annie Lennox), interspersed with interesting electronic sounds. Style is strongly Blues rooted with occasional daliances into jazz reminiscent of 60’s jazz invoked with great effect by great Hammond organ playing but with an interesting structure that evokes a kind of ethereal quality most wonderfully striking on ‘Whatever’.
The sounds on every track are so strong this band stands head and shoulders above the rest and deserve to be heard. I thouroughly recommend that you listen to this at your earliest opportunity.
Many of the song lyrics are dark and deeply personal, however, the music is so good, every song is lifted by the sheer quality of play and emotion.
