Drummer Mitch Lestner and pianist and vocalist Kristina Thoergesen joined and revamped the sound of the band by adding a distinct West Coast flair to the mix.

Building on a solid and emerging fan base in the city of Los Angeles, Family Cave released their EP in 2012. Their track “Place for Me” achieved local acclaim from the vibrant and growing Indie rock scene in the neighborhoods of West Los Angeles for its euphoric blending of folk ballads with a gritty guitar-driven sound.

Deeply influenced by greats such as Elliott Smith, Radiohead, The Cure, and Wilco, the band speaks to a generation of twenty and thirty somethings that are coming to terms with the rapid changes of a modern age. Their debut album is set to be released in 2014 which explores the thematic elements of the trials and tribulations of adventure. Their anticipated single “No Sleep Tonight” captures a mature and robust sound
