Album Notes
Fatnurse is the breakbeat alter ego of producer/engineer Matt Fisher from Birmingham

The musical beginnings of Matt start at age 15 when he took up the guitar but quickly moved to the bass and then started playing in local bands in the rock genre.

After quickly tiring of the deadend that was rock, Matt made the leap to electronic music spurred on by the sounds of artists such as NIN, Aphex twin and anything with a harder sound.

The next 3 years saw Matt moving around many different genres trying to find a sound to call home. This sound came in the form of psytrance a sound straight from the free party scene. Matt developed his sound within the psytrance genre and made links with soundsystems where he was to play live PA's at parties and festivals bashing out hard dancefloor tunes with little more than a laptop and a few synths.

Now working under the name Fatnurse, Matt is plumbing the depths of sound for low basslines and hammering drums to bring to the breakbeat dancefloor.
The Fatnurse sound is designed for the dancefloor and has been acid tested at parties, bars, clubs and festivals for the last 3 years to great success

Addictive, bold experimentation, builds into some provocotive basslines
This is an addictive CD that's grown on us very quickly. Although it makes banging driving music, and in truth the car CD player is where I've listened to it most, the fat-provocative basslines are only really appreciated through proper good bassy speakers. 'Death to the dancefloor' is easily a favourite track and I think it's the one that'll be heard most on the dancefloor when this stuff takes off.. and it will take off. Just a matter of time before the rest of you catch on :o)
