Album Notes
With the release of her debut EP, “The Way We Do”, R&B artist and songwriter Felicia Alima took the bold first step in a solo career of absolute guarantee. The Australian-born, half Indonesian, half Czech beauty is undoubtedly the next big thing to represent Australian R&B. Growing up in a family accustomed to art and music, her father being a great influence as an avid guitarist and musician, there was no doubt where her aspirations would take her. Moving to the USA and creating a buzz on an international level, she recently won 2 MAMA (Madison Area Music Awards) for the Best R&B/Hip-Hop Album 2007 for her EP “The Way We Do”, and won the title of the Best R&B/Hip-Hop Artist 2007. She was also nominated in the categories of the Best R&B/Hip-Hop Song 2007 and the Best Pop Artist 2007.

Promoted and distributed by Felicia’s own entertainment company, Chantik Soul Entertainment, (Chantik meaning “beautiful” in Bahasa Indonesia), her new EP, “The Way We Do” was officially released April 8th, 2006, both in the US, and Australia. Marketed by her own company, Felicia is able to create music that represents her heart and soul without having to compromise her artistic integrity.

Representin’ from down-under to the States, Felicia Alima is surely heading for stardom.

“Those who think that the classic sound of sultry, soulful music has disappeared can find hope in the light at the end of the tunnel. That light is Felicia Alima...

Fans that truly enjoy real music will appreciate Felicia Alima’s lurid, yet slightly husky voice. Undoubtly, her album has something that anyone can relate to. Her music truly reflects hope, accomplishment, joy, love, and even pain. Felicia Alima had certainly set the standards for Australian R&B!”
– Ya’ Heard Magazine (CD REVIEW) August/September 2006 Issue

“With a smooth alto tone and a subtle sultry energy in her delivery, Felicia Alima is a fresh new voice in local R&B. This debut EP [The Way We Do], featuring smooth R&B jams interwoven with a club remix, is a fantastic introduction to the voice of this Australian born diva. The harmonies are striking and delicate and the production is very tight and full, with acoustic guitars winding through full kick tones and techy snares.”

This cd has TALENT written all over it!
I didnt listen to much music any more, until I bought this cd from a friend. I know what I like, and I love this! Its new, its fresh, and its nothing like i've heard before! I play it all the time, and I cant wait to hear more from this singer!

Karen Bohenberg

Antonia Kamid

Smooth and sultry sounds
This CD has a range of moods, from smooth and sultry rhythm to urban beats. I love the track, The Way we do (remix), looking forward to hearing more music from Felicia Alima!

Jennifer Epps

Unique sound in every respect, sultry vocals that are reminiscent of the nostalg
The CD is great; I would recommend it to anyone who is frustrated with the bubble-gum factory R&B that the mainstream is playing. Her voice is as fresh and unforgettable as T-Boz and her powerful lyrics are as deep as all of the soul greats from Billie Holiday to Miles Davis.

Cecilia Cazares

Captivating lyrics from a woman whose voice is unique.
The first time I played the CD, I was impressed with the artist's talent. At the same time, I was equally impressed with the CD itself. The picture on the cover and the actual packaging of the CD were excellent. It showed professionalism on the part of the artist as well as the people she worked with to present her CD to the world. A job well done!

What an incredible CD. I honestly don't listen to much R&B, but I just can't seem to get enough of this...especially the remix of The Way We Do...wonderful! I hope to hear more in the future...Nice packaging too :o)

A captivating swirl of R&B with Jazzy overtones
It is not often that you can pick up a CD of an artist you've never heard before and be instantly hooked on the sound and the voice. Masterfull R&B beats with a jazzy feel of Felicia's voice make this a must for any music collection. A hint of slight, perhaps Australian accent, adds the freshness and originality that today's canned music seem to lack. Professionally mastered, recorded and packaged with some of the best artist photography on the cover, this album is definitely money wisely spent.
