Album Notes
After growing up in New Jersey. Felix McTeigue (now recording under the moniker FDR) spent the last few years travelling the country - hitchhiking, hopping trains, and walking with stints in the Southwest, California, Florida, and New Orleans. After continued traveling doing every odd job you can imagine, he ended up, for however long, in NYC somewhere near the FDR Dr. with a nice view of the East River whenever the fog has lifted. Felix released Radio Perfecto in 2003 after some Japanesse entertianment executives heard his demos and got very excited. To date Radio Perfecto has only been released in Japan and online. Check out the new album FDR -The New Deal here on CD Baby.

Excellent CD.
Outstanding work here. There is simplicity in the music, but great beauty. Has the same quality of Neil Young where the mundaneness of McTeigue's voice juxtaposed against the light instrumentation provides a great sense of sadness, elegance, and power.

It's been a while since I have heard an artist like this. Maybe Richard Shindell was the last one. Strange that the artist and the CD does not seem to be getting traction on AAA stations, only NPR type folk stations like WUMB (where I originally heard him). Maybe you need to get the thing out there more.

Timeless Style
If you could cross Bob Dylan with Arlo Guthrie, I think you'd wind up with Felix. And yes, this is a good thing.
Great lyricist with a timeless style.

complete solitude
i remember ed back at the water's edge. radio perfecto continues to refelect this artist's talent. the simplicity of his lyrics are extremely thought provoking.

Paul Simon for The Reality Bites Set
The next Paul Simon, but taller. A pop song genuis with a rootsy feel. Felix's record was a breath of fresh air. I haven't heard a collection of love songs this good since aimee man's soundtrack to magnolia. Defies catagorization. For fans of Paul Simon, Fountains of Wyane, Randy Newman, Tim Buckley (Jeff's Dad), and Clem Snide. My new favorite CD. Songs for the underdog in all of us. Stuck in my CD player for weeks and I bought 5 extra copies for x-mas gifts last year and not a single person didn't flip out.
Don't miss the boat.

mcteigue will wake u write up with this one
his music is sensative and touches on the age old relationsip thing just enough to keep you wanting to
