Album Notes
Mikolot Mayim is a musical mandala of thirteen Shabbat songs composed to original melodies, all combined in one sacred music journey. The music caters to all lovers of spiritual and world music. Its East-meets-West style is an authentic fusion of who we are, of our identities and our musical influences.

Special printed material included with CD -
Those familiar with the musical and spiritual traditions of Judaism and Kabbalah will find their teachings on prayer and Shabbat, the holy day of rest, deeply embedded in Mikolot Mayim. For those who would like to learn more, the printed material included with the CD (not included with digital album) contains original artwork (illustrated by Feliza) and textual teachings (written by Or) about each prayer.

Mikolot Mayim is the product of a decade of work in Israel's vibrant musical and spiritual renewal scene: in festivals, congregations, and gatherings throughout the country. Growing out of real-life situations and events, it answers the needs of those seeking new opportunities for spiritual worship.

Or Zohar is a Reform Rabbi, liberal Kabbalist, and musician. He serves as a congregational Rabbi in northern Israel where he also teaches Kabbalah and Jewish Spirituality. Feliza Bascara-Zohar is a singer-songwriter and multidisciplinary artist. They tour internationally, but their home base is the tiny mountain village of Hararit in the heart of the Galilee, in northern Israel, where they live with their 4 children. Mikolot Mayim is their second album, released a decade after their debut album "Lev Tahor - Sacred Music" (in 2007, created with Shantam Zohar).
