ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Addictive and inspiring."
- Guitar Player December 2005

"It's not a stretch to classify "Musician" as a mini-masterpiece given that Fetters plays most of the instruments himself, taps into a deep Dylan-like muse for his songwriting, and produces the entire thing with a confidence that would make Rundgren proud."
- D. Lockwood / Scripps Howard 8.12.05

"Wonderful. Accomplished, self-assured...it's as if Fetters has moved into his Sgt. Pepper period, with warm complex production, and plenty of dark characters with secrets."
- Cincinnati Post 4.28.05

"'Musician" is daring, as Fetters utilizes the studio to its fullest extent, the result a true "headphone experience"...Ultimately Fetters most engagingly challenging album, a refreshing, bold move from one of Cincinnati's finest songwriters ever."
- CityBeat 5.4.05

Rich and tasty!
This disc is Tiramisu for the ears. Extremely rich and full bodied in its production values it still retains the tartness of Rob's quirky wit, head grabbing melodic themes and -- of course -- his absolute mastery of the guitar. If you've followed Rob through the Raisins, psychodots and Bears you're in for an evolutionary treat with this second solo effort. Clearly the product of a seasoned, mature musician making a surprising and delightful artistic leap.

D**n Good!
No sophomore slump here. "Musician" is every bit the equal of "Lefty Loose, Righty Tight", or any of Rob's work with the Bears/Psychodots/Raisins. Well worth the money!

Great CD. The perfect answer to those who think "pop" can't transcend pablum. And a nice range of stylings. Kudos and other chocolate bars to Fetters!

SImple great; intelegent, fun
Fetters has an album here you'll return to again and again: musical and lyrical depth; funny and smart. Rob shows what can be acomplished in the Indy-pop arena. He set the bar pretty high.
Git this one, it's teriffic.

Good stuff!
This is a great CD from Rob, who is an excellent "musician." As expected, the songwriting is very good as well. I'm rating this 4 stars only because it will get better with every listen. I bought this along with Psychodots' "Terminal Blvd." and couldn't be happier with my purchase!

Cerebral, yet unpretentious
I just don't understand why this isn't more popular than it Is. It should be on every radio everywhere. Are people deaf?

Just as good if not better than "Lefty"
This album is just crazy-fun-introspection! Like a silly "dramady". Also note, "Trailerpark Bob" is the new middle class american anthem! Watch the news, hate the president, listen to Trailerpark Bob, and BE PROUD TO BE AN "AMURKIN!" YES! A polaroid snap shot of middle class America's "working poverty". Full of lessons to be learned!
