ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
FishCastle is a performing and recording duo beloved by children and adults wherever they do shows. The audience involvement in their music is near 100%. They play many instruments, as you can hear on this album, which is just the two of them, Cyril and Catherine, singing and playing guitars, ukelele, bass, dobro (slide guitar),trumpet, alto horn, recorders, slide whistle, kazoo, banjo, djembe drum, percussion, melodica, electric keyboard, harmonica, and peruvian 10-string charango. All of the songs are originals; 8 by Catherine, 5 by Cyril, and they are all terrific songs. The style cannot be pinned down; it starts off a little Calypso, drifts toward Hawaian, gets into a hip-hop groove, then 70's dance, then crazy kid rock, then folk lullaby--like I said, indescribable. Each song is it's own thing. You just have to listen up. You won't regret it! And if you get a chance to hear them live, grab the kids and go!
