Album Notes
"Sure as I'm Sitting Here" by Five Townz

Sure as I"m Sitting Here" is a classic-esque rock tune by emerging rock/blues/folk band, Five Townz. With a great catchy hook and some nostalgic BeachBoys style harmonies rare in today's rock music, Five Townz pumps out some good retro warmth. The type of warmth we don't realize we're complaining is missing in modern music when we gripe about music no longer being as good as it use to be.

The song presents several life idioms and backs them up with "as sure as I'm sitting here." There is only one thing human's have in their control, and it is the belief that they exist. The only thing I can prove to myself with inexplicable certainty is that I exist and am. Not sure in what context I exist, but I exist. To try to convey truth by swearing upon your mother's grave, or to bet your bottom dollar, or even to sign a document, none of that holds the same authenticity to you, than the belief you hold that you exist. So to say, "I love you, I swear on my last penny" or "I love you. Here is a document stating that"...holds no candle to..."I love you, sure as I'm sitting here" certain as I am that I exist, the only certainty I 'know' to be true, I love you.

Yes sir...I def prefer this to the original! * * * * *

A take on an old Three Dog Night track from back in the days of polyester orange suits and very large shirt collars! Thankfully (for me!) 5ive Townz have ditched the old 60's Hammond organ sounds from the original and raised the game with a punchy semi-acoustic thumper. Guitars, tambourines and a hooky chorus..well its singalong at the campfire time :] Proof that tasteful reinvention of an older (but good) track can be achieved by this bunch of seriously accomplished musicians. Soundalikes?? well I hear a lot of Counting Crows in 5ive Townz. Def worth more of a listen!

Very smooth and will get you toe tappin' ! * * * * *

I have to say I much prefer this new version of "Sure As I'm Sittin' Here" to the original. I found the orginal guitar work to be a little too heavy and gruff as were the vocals. Five Townz is actually quite toe tapping and again their signature guitar work shines through. The vocals are soft and harmonious and give a very smooth feel to the whole track. It is well worth a five star rating.

Underrated artists! Just download and hear for yourself.-I really like it. It's great to hear music like this these days instead of synthetic beats or heavy base. This song really reminds me of what music should, and use to be. This is the kind of song i'd listen to on a nice long road trip, or play as back ground music at a dinner party.I'll be introducing it to some of my friends when they come over next time for sure.The artist reminds me of Willy Nelson, mainly because of the guitar and style of music. I prefer this version over the Three Dog Night, as I believe this is more modern, and suite for todays listeners. A great song, and I will be recommending it at my next dinner party!

I listen and it...Just gets better! * * * * *
I thought there track "Mama Told Me Not To Come Here" was great but this one is just as good if not better.
Love this style of mixed rhythm, yes its pop but also hints of rock and even in places a blues feel.
Really really cool music with a jist that just reminds me of summer days and chilling out on a run with my two loves my girl and my car!
Grab a listen, if you find you don't want to smile and feel good with this one then sorry but your deaf! lol
Awesome stuff, light, cheerful and just hoping along.
Thanks Five Townz…a new fan here

* * * * * A Nice Remake of Three Dog Night,
By P. Cook (San Dimas, CA USA) -
I grew up listening to this song, when my mom used to play it from a Three Dog Night album. This is one of my all time favorite songs by them. This remake was very enjoyable to listen to as well. Great acoustics and vocals in this version. Brings back nice memories.

* * * * * Really Enjoyable!,
By Darya van Heusden-
`Tis another proper reboot. Enjoyable, credible pop-rock track. I was surprised at the effort put forth by the guys from Five Townz. Far more than giving new life to an old song. Done properly, good covers can be equally good or better than the originals. If you feel as I do and like innovation and diverse songs, check out these chaps.

Sure As Im Sitting Here
This song among others by Five Townz has many different elements within them making it hard to categorize this bands music. That fact is also coupled with an almost dreamlike sound created by the artists that make up this band. The song, Sure As Im Sitting Here was among the first that I heard by Five Townz. The first thing that I noticed was the clean old school echo carried by a 70‘s love sound. I thought surely this music was not being produced here in the current times but with a little research I found out that sure enough this was newly produced music. This song is a laid back journey brought on by a sound that is not any particular genre but a mash-up of several different styles as you can hear it throughout their five singles. I a nut shell this song fits almost everyones taste and invokes a sort of careless to the wind kind of feeling within it’s listeners. See for yourself and enjoy!

Better than I thought
Not what I expected, but turns out way better than I thought: a good song that makes me feel great and brings good memories…

Great thing
