Album Notes
'Flowers for Human' is the solo project of variety-musician Harold king--a young songwriter and composer from Austin, TX. Skipping over the conventions of pop music self-education, King learned to play music strictly by writing it rather than by playing other people's tunes. A natural talent, King ended up completely stifled in his College Music Composition program, where, after a mere 8 months of lessons, he was received with open arms only to narrowly escape dropout due to self-medication and a lifelong bout with depression. King currently leads Austin band 'The Fever Dreams' into a whirlwind of paint, adjectives, and skeletons, and pursues further musical invention late at night in his make-shift home recording studio.

“Winter Savory,” Harold King’s first full-length solo album, departs greatly from its former, but remains a brilliant effort in songwriting and sensibility. This sophomore effort proves King’s ability to balance on a razor’s-edge between confidence and self-deprecation, while tip-toeing around taboo mousetraps and a legitimate desire for popular approval. A more sincere take on life’s pleasures and burdens, King takes the listener on a psychedelic journey through the mind of a man who sold his soul to the digitally-driven pop culture of 2007. Runtime 48:36.
