ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Thanks to raising more than 20k on his recent Kickstarter campaign Singer Songwriter Forest Sun is releasing a song a month for the year - culminating in his first new album in seven years.
The first single “Windowsill, written during the last election, has already garnered air play on popular folk radio shows like “Folk Alley” and “Out of the Woods”.
Sun’s music has been played more that 64 million times on Pandora and can be heard on SiriusXM. Film and television placements include Showtime, MTV and he just finished the entire soundtrack for the upcoming film “Free Trip to Egypt.”
He has played festivals from his home state California (The Strawberry Music Festival and American River Music Festival) to Europe (Belladrum Festival in Scotland and Fiesta City in Belgium). Forest has shared the stage with such luminaries as Danny Schmidt, Brett Dennen (who once told him his song “Queen Anne’s Lace”, recorded with Sean Hayes, Sounds like Pablo Neruda wrote the lyrics) and Jolie Holland (of Be Good Tanya’s fame who appears on his record “For the Story”).
“…a quiet joy in a raucous world." John Davy - No Depression
" ... stripped-back, slightly twangy evocative Americana set that is a delight from start to end."  Maverick Magazine (UK)
”The folksy, soulful approach of this Northern California singer-songwriter has drawn comparisons to the early work of Van Morrison. This Sun seems likely to shine on a path of his own."  Jim Blum - NPR
