Album Notes
Evans and Dennett are a powerful combination of talent and drive. They met at a festival on top of a mountain in West Virginia in the summer of 2009, and have been intertwined in each others musical lives ever since. Both have made impressive careers in the Bluegrass, Folk and Country world through their work with various projects ( Slocan Ramblers, Oh My Darling) and their first duo release Hellbound for Alabama is a rare, paired-down glimpse of the talent these young musicians have to offer. Their original, old, and obscure songs will transport you back to that West Virginia mountain top where they first met, at the bustling pace of the Big Smoke.

Hellbound for Alabama was recorded live in January 2014, at McGill Studios in Montreal and features Frank Evans on banjo & vocals, Rosalyn Dennett on fiddle & vocals, and Mike Mezzatesta on guitar & mandolin.
