Album Notes
Ride With Pancho Villa is a rousing song from the historical series of songs written and recorded by Frank Fara.

In 1913 Pancho Villa emerged as the most charismatic leader of the Mexican Revolution. From Chihuahua to Xochimilco, General Villa and his Army of the North won victory after victory. In 1915 Pancho Villa marched triumphantly into Mexico City along with fellow revolutionary Emiliano Zapata to bring to an end the long chain of dictatorships which had ruthlessly ruled Mexico for decades.

Come ride with Villa ~ join Pancho Villa
We ride for glory and for gold
We fight for freedom ~ We fight for justice
And most of all ~ We fight for Mexico
(Lyric from the song)

Cover art for this song was inspired from a 1915 recruiting poster which offered gold to gringo soldiers of fortune to ride with Pancho Villa.

Recorded in Nashville and Produced by Frank Fara's wife Patty Parker, the recording evokes the epic emotions of a John Ford movie theme, but also has the Mexican Mariachi feel of the era of Pancho Villa.
