ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Frank Fara Road Show, featuring Patty Parker on Vocals and also as the Bands Drummer, toured across the United States and Canada for five years 1973 through 1978. Their Show performed often in Nevada and was especially popular at Lake Tahoe where they were brought back time and time again. Other members of the band included Paul Marshall on Bass and Keith Johnson on Lead Guitar.

These songs are especially meaningful to Frank Fara & Patty Parker as they were the first full Studio Recordings they made with their band. They would book Sage & Sound Studio in Hollywood, California when they had a few open days between road gigs. Studio sessions were fun & creative, because, in addition to their own 4 piece band, they could hire a few top notch studio musicians like steel guitar & fiddle & piano to augment their song productions to make it radio ready for Country Radio stations when they hit the road again with their 45 vinyl singles and eventually an entire album.

As you listen to these songs we hope they will bring the essence of the 1970’s Era of Country Music into Today !!

Here’s some of the Lyrics to these 5 songs.

1. Lost Between Yesterday & Today

It seems like I've been down this here road before
Yes I know I've been down it a few hundred times or more
But this ain't no deja vu, it's just a plain old stain of blue
I'm lost between yesterday and today

2. You Took My Silver Dollar

You took my silver dollar, you took all my small change
You even took my pockets in your alimony game
Bad times if I do, and bad times if I don't
You'll have to find me before I pay for you

3. Isom Dart - A Black Cowboy

Well I'm gonna tell you a story, most history books don't tell
One they either forgot about or just didn't think would sell
About Isom Dart, a black cowboy, Yes Isom Dart
A rodeo cowboy ~ A real rawhide man

4. That Number’s Been Changed

I've been wondering what to do and where to go from here
But I ain't found no answer in this glass of beer
Maybe another bottle would make things clear
And point me towards another road ~ leadin' out of here

5. Mighty Big To Me

When daddy died we sold the farm and moved on down to Nashville
I took my old guitar along, but it didn't pay its way
We had a lot of hungry nights til I made that record
And some folks think that the dollar ~ is Mighty Big to me
