Album Notes

Frank McKinney is a multi-talented composer, writer, producer, and performer. Music is his second nature and he has committed his life to it. His musical career began at a very early age at his hometown church in Albany, Georgia. Music is his natural gift, but he also received formal training beginning in high school and extending into college, attending Albany State as a member of the famous Albany State Marching Band. He is an all-around musician who plays lead guitar, tuba, piano, and is a master of the bass guitar.

As a solo artist, Frank has produced four projects to his credit—his self-titled album FRANK, his sophomore CD titled GET ‘EM UP (1999), A MUSICAL JOURNEY (2005), and I CAN MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD (2013). He released the single GOTTA GET MY GROOVE ON (2013), and now adds to his collection of music his latest two singles LET’S GET THIS PARTY STARTED (2015) and HEY SEXY LADY (2015). His style is a variety of R&B, Soul, Funk, Hip Hop and Jazz for everyone’s listening pleasure.

He grew up playing in small local bands with his peers—the Destiny Band and the R.M.S. Band. For the last 33 years, he has been a member and now co-owner of the hot show band Heart 2 Heart based out of Atlanta. In 1991 Heart 2 Heart signed with Interscope Records where they recorded their big hit “Judy’s Booty.”

Frank’s musical trademark is flashy attire, a high-energy performance, and funky licks. He has performed with some of the all-time greats like Morris Day and the Time, the SOS Band, the Barkays, ConFunkShun, Brick, the Gap Band, Clarence Carter, Tyrone Davis, Millie Jackson, Roger Troutman and Zapp, and many others. His talents consist of all the dimensions of pioneering artists such as Bootsy Collins; Stanley Clarke; Larry Graham; Earth, Wind & Fire; Prince; Maze, and others who helped in paving his path in the music world.

Frank has produced for Clarence Carter and Willie Clayton, and many others. He has written and produced on 18 albums and a host of singles ranging from R&B to Southern Soul, Blues, Jazz, Gospel, and Hip Hop. He has to his credit a catalog that contains over 1,500 songs of all genres. He is a very talented and prolific producer who has become Atlanta’s go to guy for artists in search of a hit song. In addition to producing, he still performs all over the United States and abroad playing his music in Japan, Germany, Turkey, Greece, Italy, France and Spain.

He has always been inspired by his strong love for God, his passion for music, and his love of spiritual revelations and positivity. Frank’s goal is to touch the world over with love, positivity, and sincerity. His music has already touched the hearts and souls of many homes. His prayer for everyone is that “God will bless and keep you all strong.”

Love It!
I love, love, love this party song. Can't help but follow the instructions and tap your feet, snap your fingers, and clap your hands. It also makes you bob your head to that tight groove.
