Port Stanley’s own recording artist Frank Trousdell signs record deal with Bongo Boy Music Group from St. Thomas, ONT Canada. Bongo Boy Music Group is the Canadian operation of American record label Bongo Boy Records, LLC.
On August 14, 2018, Bongo Boy will release the 1st digital single “The Long Road Home” worldwide and follow this prelude with a worldwide album release of Frank Trousdell’s studio album with the same title “The Long Road Home” on September 18th 2018.

Earlier this year Frank’s music was introduced to the label by their Music Director, Emidio Vaz. At that time one of Franks original song titled “Little Girl Big City” was introduced to Bongo Boy and the label accepted the track to be featured on Bongo Boy Records Homestead Volume Three album by Various Artists. This Americana album series is for Folk, Country and Bluegrass type of music.
Another great original song that was written by Frank Trousdell titled “Gotta Hold On” has also been accepted by the label and will be featured on the record label’s other compilation series The Gospel Blues by Various Artists. Bongo Boy Records Gospel Blues series inspired and supported by Radio DJ host Bill Kenton from Bill and Kat Radio Station in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.

The record label is very excited to sign a complete full-length album by this talented Canadian recording artist. When Frank’s music was presented for consideration of a full album release, A&R Director/Producer/Songwriter Gar Francis partner in Bongo Boy Records took the task under his wings with his team resulted in 14 carefully selected tracks of fine Americana music. Frank’s upcoming album THE LONG ROAD HOME will be distributed Worldwide as a physical CD, digital download and streaming release.

Frank’s full music career started getting very seriously in 1978 with a Canadian recording rock band out of Guelph called Copperfield. In 1985 Frank joined The Canadian Country Recording star The Danny Thompson Band as keyboard and Rhythm Guitar and second lead vocal. Then in 1990 Frank assisted on keys and second lead vocal, formulating Brantford’s Southern Rock and “Steve Earl Clone Band”, “The Other Kind”.

The Hammer Magazine of Hamilton Ontario covered Frank Trousdell recording session in 1991, at the famous Grant Ave., Studio’s, (owners Daniel Langois and Bob Doidge). Christine Conroy of The Hammer wrote, “ It’s becoming evident to me that I am in the company of some of the greatest Canadian Musicians”. This session was performed by some of the greats such as Wendell Ferguson formerly of The Tommy hunter show, Richard Bell of Levon Helm and The Band, Janis Joplin’s Full Tilt Boogie Band and The Hawks - Ronnie Hawkins, Al Cross of Big Sugar and Jane Siberry and John Dymond of The Mercy Brothers. Franks single was released nationally then internationally called “Then You Came True”. The release aired modestly across Canada but did receive critical acclaim in countries such as Netherlands, Italy, Germany and England.

Frank Trousdell traveled extensively and performed as “Franklyn Alexander and The Bone Shakers”, in over eighty-seven clubs from one side of Canada to the other during the years 1990 to 1995. He played many Northern, Central and Southwestern Ontario venues while visiting and performing in provinces such as Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec.

After ten years as a Business Consultant and later in 2002, Frank worked as a music career consultant in association with Sound Oven Studios owner Donny Baker and Skip Prokop of Lighthouse, as well affiliated himself with Sexton Records owned by Jeff Burns head of EMI A&R department. Frank is back better than before performing an array of his originals written as early as 1980 to present. He is polished, plays with emotion and energy with the crowd in his focus. His cover tunes suit his style and are selected to match the audience.

Since 2015, Frank joined forces with Parker Booth on drums, Brendan May on guitar, keyboards and Bass. Brendan owner of, has co-produced Franks originals compiling two solid albums. This power trio has been performing within the Central Elgin/Middlesex region in establishments as well, doing charity shows raising funds for the Heart and Stroke Foundation events.

Frank is a member of Socan/ASCAP in good standing under FabsMusic Productions Inc.,/ North Hawk Publishing. North Hawk is affiliated with Lisa Drum and Gary Gentry Publishing Nashville Tenn. Lisa Drum is managing North Hawks catalogue of 120 songs written and arranged by Frank Trousdell.
