ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
FREDDIE ANDERSON IS A VOICE FROM ONE OF THE LONLIEST PLACES IN NORTH AMERICA. BORN AND RAISED IN NORTHERN NEVADA, IN THE TOWN OF ELY, ON THE LONLIEST HIGHWAY IN AMERICA. FREDDIE'S FATHER WAS A MINING MAN AND HE TOOK HIS SON WITH HIM ALL OVER THE WEST WHERE HE MET ALL KINDS OF PEOPLE: GAMBLERS, MINERS, COWBOYS, NATIVE AMERICANS, DRIFTERS, AND MILLIONARES. Freddie's Mother is an artist and pianist; therefore, she always encouraged him to be creative. FREDDIE'S SONGS REFLECT A RICH HERITAGE. IN HIS YOUTH HE WORKED AS A RAILROAD WORKER AND EVENTUALLY WENT ON TO BECOME A PROFESSIONAL MUSICIAN TRAVELLING ALL OVER NORTH AMERICA. THESE EXPERIENCES BECOME VIVID IN FREDDIE'S SONGS, AND ALL OF HIS SONGS ARE WRITTEN FROM THE HEART. FREDDIE LOVES TO SAY " THE ONLY SONGS THAT LAST ARE WRITTEN IN THE HEART". CHECK OUT HIS MUSIC AND LISTEN TO HIS LYRICS AS HE IS TRULY A TREASURE FROM THE HIGH DESERT OF NORTHERN NEVADA.

A great tribute to the land of White Pine
I am amazed at Freddie's talent. I have been a visitor to Cherry Creek on an annual basis since 1971. His recording of Cherry Creek is spot on. There is a mother lode there and it is not gold or silver, the mother lode is the friends I have at Cherry Creek. A great tribute to Fred
Sr.

Truly a work of genius, according to his mum and me (long time fan).
Some great down to earth homegrown lyrics and music. Bares this artist as a man who has a soul deep reverence for the common working people and the beauty of our country. Feel your stress level and blood pressure relax as these songs sort of drift you away to another dimension, another perspective, another time and place. It's actually an experience rather than just simply listening to music. You just pop this album in, and then relax and unwind. Let it take you away. Or just enjoy some mighty fine pickin'... either way.
