ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I’ve come a long way since my first “solo” album, Saints (2007). I was just reading my liner notes that I wrote for that album (over 8 years ago), and on that project my goal was to keep as much of myself out of the songs as possible. For good or for ill, on this project I’ve tried to put in as much of myself as possible. The younger version of me felt that the less of me, the better. The younger version of me simply wanted to be the vessel communicating the pure truth of God and His Church. But now I’m older. I wouldn’t say that I’m necessarily wiser, but I am older, and I have over 40 years of living this Christian life and about 13 years of being a priest. The songs on this album provide a pretty good summary of the themes that I have found important in my own walk with God, as both a person and as a Catholic priest.
