ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Grammy Award winning producer and leader of Dog on Fleas Dean Jones called on some old friends to record a fun album of jazzy skits and songs. Sax player and singer Shane Kirsch has played with Dean (who plays trombone and sings) in numerous bands and on tours with folks like George Clinton, Jon Hendricks and Annie Ross, Sonando and many more. Shane and Dean perched themselves in the loft of Dean's No Parking Studio above the band as they all improvised and laughed together. Most of these songs were recorded in one day, lending the album a very spontaneous and fresh feel. Some of the songs are actual songs and some are just ideas that Dean had sung into his phone and then let the band fly with. The band, who sometimes go by the name Earmight, are masters of improv and texture, having performed and recorded with artists as diverse as Moby, Jane Siberry, Rick Danko, and David Torn. Stay tuned for more Froggins and Bug!
