Album Notes
From the Morning is an acoustic group based in Sumter, SC. Built around the core duo of vocalist AshLee Holloman and guitarist/vocalist Kevin Jarvis, but often featuring guest appearances by musical friends and cohorts, FtM was formed in late 2014. Since the first performance in December, 2014, From the Morning has been performing regularly throughout South Carolina.
AshLee and Kevin met while playing together in a local multi-denominational praise and worship band, and decided to branch out and start an acoustic project. Taking their name from a song by the late British singer-songwriter Nick Drake, From the Morning plays acoustic arrangements of a wide variety of musical styles, including folk, rock, country, gospel, and pop. From classics like the Beatles, Dolly Parton, James Taylor, and Johnny Cash to more modern music by the likes of Collective Soul, U2, the Decemberists, and Ed Sheeran, and mixing in a few old folk classics, Gospel standards and the occasional new original composition, From the Morning offers something for everyone.
